Estimated time of sightseeing on the Tourist Trail (2,2 km of galleries) and the Museum Trail (17 chambers, 1.5 km of galleries): 3 hours.
The toilets are located on ground near the shaft and underground after about 40 and 90 minutes of sightseeing on the Tourist Route and in two points on the Museum Route.
The Tourist and Museum Routes are visited with assistance provided by a qualified guide.
Visitors taking a break between sightseeing on the Tourist Trail and the Museum Trail are invited to relax in the renowned Miner Tavern. The menu suits diversified palates.
Free access to WiFi and connection to GSM networks can be used in selected areas of the Mine.
Photographs can be taken on the Museum and Tourist Route without using flash units.
The Museum Route are adapted to the needs of people using wheelchairs.

There are numerous car parks in Wieliczka near the Mine The largest car park is located at the terminal station of town railway.
Animals are not admitted to the Mine. There is no space to leave an animal for the time of sightseeing.
A total ban on smoking tobacco and using sources of light, including flashlights (torches) is imposed in the Salt Mine.
The temperature ranges from +14-15º on Museum Route and +17-18º C on Tourist Route all year round. Warm clothing is recommended especially in the summer.
A storage room where to leave your luggage is located at near the Danilowicz shaft. One piece of hand luggage not larger than 35cm x 20cm x 20cm can be taken to the excursion.
Good walking shoes and warm clothing will make your tour through the mine spaces comfortable.
