Thanks to the catalogue, we can see how complex mining is. The mostly previously unpublished photographs come from thirty mines, eighteen countries and three continents. Inside you will find a commentary on the photograph, a description of the mine in which it was taken, and a note about the museum in which it is kept. Each object has a QR code which links to the photo gallery to satisfy the curiosity of mining enthusiasts. The oldest photo, about 160 years old, shows miners in front of the entrance to a cobalt mine tunnel in Åmot, Norway, while the most recent ones are around 70 years old. All the photographs are black-and-white and show miners at various moments of their work.
