Salt Festival is a fun-filled event for everyone, organized for many years by the Cracow Saltworks Museum in Wieliczka. This year's edition takes place on June 8, in the courtyard of the Żupny Castle, from 10 AM to 6 PM.
We invite families to enjoy shows, workshops, and concerts. You'll experience the lively atmosphere of historic Wieliczka, when the castle was the center of the royal salt enterprise. Try your hand at traditional crafts, like rope-making, basket-weaving, pottery, or barrel-making. Kids will love salt-themed activities, including salt sculpting, jewelry making, and salt boiling.
Live music, stage performances, contests, and a final concert by Kraków Street Band at 5 PM will wrap up the celebration. This 19th edition runs under the theme “The Beauty of Salt” and features historic salt mines from Poland.
